Dr. Xu has more than 10 years of research and industry experience in the field of Materials Sciences and Engineering, including semiconductor materials and devices, metal materials(metallurgy and welding) , and  nanomaterials. He has been working on the fabrication of (nano) semiconductor materials and devices for over 8 years. Dr. Xu has published over 20 articles in prestigious journals including Nano Letters, Sensors and actuators B, Water research, Nanotechnology, Nano Energy, Applied physics letters, etc. Dr. Xu  is also an inventor for one US patent. 

Besides his expertise in the field of semiconductor materials and devices,  Dr. Xu is also an expert of materials characterization.  He has extensive experience in TEM, SEM, AFM, XRD, FIB and Nanomaniupulator.
