Sherry Wu focuses her practice on patent litigation, prosecution, and client counseling in the fields of computer software, hardware, semiconductor technologies, telecommunications, the Internet, and business methods

Ms. Wu has litigated both in U.S. district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and has experience dealing with many issues specific to patent litigation, including pre-filing diligence, technical discovery, claim construction, Markman hearing, validity, infringement, and expert consulting.  She regularly advises clients on patent procurement, portfolio management, patent analysis, and risk assessment across a broad spectrum of electrical and computer technologies.

Before joining ANOVA Law Group, Ms. Wu concentrated on patent prosecution, litigation, and client counseling as an attorney at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, and gained significant expertise in patent prosecution and litigation, including patent litigation in U.S. federal courts and in the International Trade Committee (ITC).

Prior to starting her legal practice, Ms. Wu enjoyed a successful career in information technology.  She spent several years as a software engineer and later as a project and product manager, leading many software development projects for a large corporation in Virginia.  She also worked as an in-house intellectual property manager for the company.  In that position, she was responsible for the company’s intellectual property assets.  She managed a sizeable patent portfolio involving database technology, business methods, computer networking and architecture, and telecommunications.  Ms. Wu also managed the company’s intellectual property-related contractual issues and litigations.
